When Was the Last Time This Happened for You?

“When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person, by far, than you ever dreamed yourself to be.”

This is my friend Kari.  She is always working on some cool crap.  I just have to give her a shout out - Kari girl, you inspire me.  You and Patanjali would get along just fine.

I Can Tell That We are Gonna Be Friends

Every year we get together with our old-school friends...These are buddies of Connor's from Kettering University (undergraduate school) - now complete with families.  This year, Mer's gracious family allowed us to enjoy their beautiful mountain lodge up in central Pennsylvania for the long weekend - we went up the weekend we got back from Nags Head (mid-May).  Really special is getting our kids together.  I can already see the years - and friendships - unfolding...

This Little Light of Mine...

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

My Mother's Day gift from Noah

I do Hot Yoga most Wednesday nights.  During shavasana (final, resting 'pose) one recent Wednesday, she read this excerpt.
